Born in Teheran, Nasrin is a lyrics coloratura soprano opera singer. She began her studies in voice with Ms. Aria Zand and Mansureh Ghasri in Iran; and later in 1998 continued under the supervision of Prof. Rohangiz Yachmi in Vienna, and Prof. Joanna Borowska in University of Music and Dramatic Arts in Graz. She obtained her Diploma in voice in Vienna, and subsequently completed her master's degree in voice and Operatic style in Graz. Nasrin's voice has a distinct silvery timbre which is instantly recognizable. She has a diverse and broad repertoire and has been cast in famous numbers such as Donizetti's “Linda di Chamonix” as Linda; Bellini's “La Sonnambula” as Amina; Mozart's “Entführung” as Konstanze; Mozart's “Schauspieldirektor” as Mademoiselle Silberklang; as Fiordiligi and Despina in “Cosi fan tutte”; and as Nicole in “Tarot”. She also performed as Papagena in Mozart's “Zauberflöte” in Graz . Since 2008 Performances with the „ Three Iranian Sopranos in Austria, London and Vancouver. |
